Description

We often hear the term ‘Long-COVID’ in media, but we likely have an underdeveloped idea of what it actually entails. Post-COVID syndrome, or ‘Long-COVID,’ can affect COVID-19 patients seemingly at random, with a wide array of potential symptoms exerting themselves in unpredictable ways. In fact, post-COVID syndrome is now recognized as a legal disability in the United States. COVID-19 researcher Dr. Paul Anderson brings us a course that teaches us about the most up-to-date research regarding post-COVID syndrome. Dr. Anderson has been studying data and collaborating with international COVID-19 patients since the beginning of the pandemic, and he comanages COVID-19 patients in hospitals. Hence, he has followed several patients from their initial diagnosis all the way through their development of post-COVID syndrome.

In this course, Dr. Anderson goes over the inner workings of the virus in order to give you a better understanding of how it can affect patients both during infection and after overcoming the initial illness. He then covers the rates of Long-COVID in various demographics, and discusses the variety of potential post-COVID syndrome symptoms that can present themselves, including the most common symptoms. He also discusses the societal view of post-COVID syndrome, and the general misinformation surrounding the condition.

Dr. Anderson also breaks down how COVID-19 initially impacts the body, and how COVID-19 patients become more susceptible to developing other serious conditions, like hypertension and diabetes. On the contrary, he also examines substances (like certain vitamins or minerals) that could potentially lessen the effects of COVID-19, and thus, post-COVID syndrome.

This course examines various methods of treatment for post-COVID syndrome with specialized care depending on the level of the initial virus’s severity. If you are looking to learn more about how to handle cases of post-COVID syndrome using an integrative approach, this is the course for you.
