Dr. Erickson is a naturopathic physician with a focus on chronic pain management, dermatologic complaints, and healthy aging. Through utilization of integrative medicine and lifestyle modifications, she has great success in treating difficult-to-treat skin complaints and in improving the overall appearance of the skin. She also uses the latest advancements in pain management techniques to successfully treat chronic pain for patients who feel like they have tried everything. She understands how skin conditions and chronic pain can affect everyday life and has a strong passion for improving quality of life through treating these conditions.
Dr. Erickson received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. During her internship, she focused her interests on reducing chronic pain and treating skin complaints through musculoskeletal manipulative techniques, injection therapies, minor surgeries, and detox therapies. Since then, she has received advanced training in aesthetic medicine, healthy aging, and pain management.
The pain-specific treatment modalities Dr. Erickson practices are platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy, trigger point injection therapy, prolotherapy, biopuncture, perineural therapy, somatic re-education, and craniosacral therapy. These are techniques that stimulate the body to heal the tissue surrounding the area causing pain and to reduce inflammation. Many patients have experienced tremendous relief from these therapies even when nothing else seemed to work. She has also received advanced training in sclerotherapy (spider vein treatment), mesotherapy (body contouring), healthy aging (bio-identical hormones & weight loss), gut health, and genetics. These are areas of focus outside of Dr. Erickson's primary care practice.
Dr. Erickson has a Masters of Public Health in Health Management and Policy from Portland State University. Prior to pursuing her Doctorate and Master's degrees, she received her Bachelor of Science from Portland State University in Portland, OR, with a specific focus in Biology. When time permits, she loves to exercise, cook healthy meals, read, play the piano, and spend time with her family and friends. Dr. Erickson speaks conversational Spanish.
